The School Readiness Program

The School Readiness Program at Nexia Health Care is meticulously designed to equip children with essential skills, enabling them to thrive in both social and academic environments as they transition into kindergarten or school. Recognizing the challenges these transitions can present for both children and their parents, we offer targeted support in communication, language, emotional tolerance, social interactions, physical skills, and effective learning strategies. Without these foundational skills, children risk falling behind their rapidly advancing peers. This program ensures that students can apply the skills they have learned to ease their transition into the school period.

How Our Program Works

Our multidisciplinary team of occupational therapists, speech therapist, and psychologists perform individual assessments to identify the goals of the child and family.

We offer one-on-one clinic-based or classroom-based sessions to help build essential skills in communication, language, social interactions, emotional tolerance, physical abilities, and learning strategies.

Through personalized, evidence-based care for smooth school transitions, we foster
holistic development for children with developmental issues. Together, we strive to ease the journey and unlock your child’s fullest potential, supporting them every step of the way.

Our Allied Health Team

At Nexia Health Care, we understand that transitioning to school involves moving from conformtable, smaller settings to larger, unfamiliar environments. This shift requires significant social adjustments and independence, which can be especially challenging for many children, particularly with the impacts of the global pandemic on social and emotional learning.

Our Allied Health Team—including psychologists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists—are here to support you and your child to ensure a smooth and seemless transition into school.
